About Camp Island Lodge

Camp Island Lodge is your very own private island in Queensland’s world heritage listed Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. We are situated in the northern Whitsundays and are surrounded by the stunning scenery, sandy beaches and white coral of Cape Upstart National Park. Camp Island is the second most northerly island in the Whitsundays group and is located approximately 3 km offshore in Abbot Bay.

Camp Island Lodge is a remote luxury lodge. With four villas catering to eight guests the Lodge is an ideal destination for corporate retreats or groups of friends and family wanting to escape to a private island idyll. Relax in the knowledge that you will be the only guests on the island and will have complete privacy and exclusive use of the property.

Is Camp Island for You?

Camp Island Lodge is an ideal destination for groups of friends and families wishing to spend time enjoying our stunning Great Barrier Reef and National Parks or just relaxing with a book or game on one of our verandahs.

What makes Camp Island Lodge the perfect getaway is also what sometimes makes it hard to understand!

For the duration of your stay Camp Island is your own private Island! This includes your exclusive accommodation Camp Island Lodge. The Lodge is ideally suited to groups of up to eight guests (with a limited number of additional children able to be accommodated on request (charges apply)).

Partial rates are NOT available for smaller groups. Why? Because the great thing is that you’re booking an Island, not just a hotel room!

Camp Island Lodge is ideal for small corporate retreats with plenty of opportunities to work and play.

Camp Island Lodge is not recommended for children under seven due to its proximity to the ocean. Low level villas and living areas make the lodge unsuitable for wheelchairs or mobility restricted guests.

If you have any questions regarding the suitability of the facilities at Camp Island Lodge for your group please contact us.

By far my favourite island on the east coast and that is before we even start talking about the endless fishing possibilities.

One of the best holidays I've had in Queensland. Great hosts who were very approachable and accommodating. All facilities were immaculately clean. Great local knowledge and put us on to the many varieties of seafood. Highly recommend.
