  • Full chef service

    At Camp Island, guests can opt for our executive chef service* giving you the opportunity to taste locally sourced ingredients and freshly prepared seafood. Our chef will create an exceptional bespoke menu based on dietary preferences. 

    *We don't offer the chef service for part-stays.

  • Self-catering

    Camp Island has a well equipped kitchen for those who would like to self-cater.

    As there are no restaurants or shops on the island, it's essential to ensure you're fully provisioned for your stay. We can give you some recommendations in Airlie and Townsville for stores to grab fresh produce on the way.

    Our kitchen has everything you need to prepare a gourmet meal, including an ice machine, rice cooker, mix master, air fryer, and toasted sandwich maker. 

  • Alcohol

    There's no liquor store on the island so you'll need to bring your own alcohol and soft drinks for your stay. We can set up your drinks by the fire pit each evening so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy your favourite drink with a sunset view!

  • Water

    At Camp Island Lodge, our water supply is sourced from rainwater-fed tanks equipped with advanced filtration systems to ensure purity and quality. Additionally, we provide access to an ice machine for your convenience during your stay.

  • Fresh fish

    Plan ahead and incorporate freshly caught fish into your meal plan! Ask about a fishing excursion exploring the reef surrounding the island. Whether you bring your own fishing gear or utilize ours, there's an abundance of edible seafood waiting to be caught. Our favourites include; grassy sweetlip, coral trout, queenies, mackerel, barramundi, and cod. And don't forget to ask about catching your own mud crabs in the nearby creek!

By far my favourite island on the east coast and that is before we even start talking about the endless fishing possibilities.
