We have a number of charter experiences available for those looking for extra adventure.

The local creeks and nearby Burdekin river are heaving with barramundi, mangrove jack, mud crabs and banana prawns - if the weather suits we can pair you up with a fishing expert to take you to their secret spots for an unforgettable experience.

Take a day trip to a couple of secret reefs only an hour’s transfer from Camp Island. These magnificent reefs are not accessed by any other operator or resort - enjoy the experience of having the whole reef to yourself. Let our guide take you there for a spectacular day of fishing and snorkelling.

Major Tom

The magnificent reefs and shoals of the Great Barrier Reef are located only 30 nautical miles from Camp Island Lodge making it accessible in our fishing boat, the 32' centre console "Major Tom". The vessel was custom built in Florida, USA to suit the conditions of the Whitsundays and North Queensland. Powered by 2 × 300 HP motors we can have you out to the reef in just over an hour from Camp Island. 

Major Tom is surveyed for 6 pax and 1 crew and with the open layout of a centre console allows anglers to fish the flats on lures, cast for GT, bottom fish or troll for game fish.

Audacity Charters

Audacity Charters is a charter boat company based out of Townsville.  Enquire about hiring our Kevlacat 3700 Flybridge, with experienced skipper Adam Finlay of AFS to host the ultimate fishing trip.  Stay in comfort at Camp Island Lodge by night, play with Audacity Charters during the day!
